You are responsible for the IT support of internal and external customers, the internal IT infrastructure and you are also responsible for the first and second line support based on our ticket system. You resolve malfunctions, implement changes, provide general support and carry out preventive management actions. The starting point is that we want to make users happy by offering smart automated solutions. You will be part of the IT team within Springbok Group and the activities will (mainly) take place in Mechelen. You are also prepared to move to our office in 's Hertogenbosch (the Netherlands) on a regular basis. As a System Administrator you are responsible for the correct functioning of the company network and computer systems within Springbok Group.

Job responsibilities:

  • Network access management for our internal network and the Cloud;
  • You will take preventive action(s) to identify and prevent faults or you resolve faults and other problems;
  • Monitoring (checking whether all components work properly and correctly, including performance measurements);
  • Installing, configuring and maintenance of (file) systems. Folders, disk space, etcetera;
  • Installing, configuring and maintenance for (new) hardware and software or extensions and system configuration changes to existing network equipment;
  • Thinking along, improving and determining which policy should be implemented, configured and maintained for the IT infrastructure, it’s security, backup strategy, etcetera;
  • You are excellent in documenting the IT infrastructure, standard management tasks, architecture, server, applications, switches, firewalls, etcetera.
  • Participating in IT projects;
  • Answering questions and assisting users;
  • Advising the IT Manager about possible improvement(s), including purchase of hard- and software, system use, system adjustments, processes, system extensions);
  • You have experience with handling (Receiving, analyzing and recording) of incidents, questions and service requests from internal end users in a central helpdesk system (Jira);
  • You are responsible to the IT Manager for the correct handling of information from the systems, the operations and use of the systems, the security of the files and the support of users;
  • You are working according the rules, processes and system documentation, which are important for the input and reliable processing of date, for the working methods to be followed and for giving explanations and instructions and you take measures if these are missing;
  • You make decisions when assessing and solving hardware failures when making improvement proposals for capacity adjustments and when instructing users;
  • You identify and analyze the problems in the IT process;
  • You are monitoring the requests that arrive in the service desk system and whether they are handled correctly and according to procedure;
  • You support at a high IT level as you are responsible for the availability, reliability and continuity of the information systems and business processes;
  • You support colleagues with for example project, test and documentation work or you will carry out this by yourself;
  • You support the IT Manager with administrative tasks and creating reports.

Requirements

  • You have insight into the information needs of internal employees;
  • You have knowledge of the operation and possibilities of information systems and of the associated administrative and technical rules and regulations;
  • You have the necessary skills for hardware installation, also in recognizing of regularly occurring malfunctions and giving instructions about the system;
  • You have a relevant education in ICT;
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position;
  • Any knowledge of Google G-suite is a plus;
  • Any Knowledge of ITIL and VMWare is a plus;
  • Microsoft and Google certifications are a plus;
  • Knowledge of firewall, routing, switching and security is necessary;
  • Basic networking knowledge is a must;
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English. French is an added value;
  • You can quickly analyze and solve ICT problem and communicate this to the (internal) customer;
  • You are willing to follow training courses and obtain certifications;
  • You have good communication and writing skills;
  • You are a team player with a service, customer and result-oriented attitude;
  • You are accurate with a critical attitude and with a customer-friendly attitude;
  • You are always willing to continuously think along in work processes.
